With summer in full swing, we couldn't think of more delicious fresh colour bursts to fill your home with a little summer-time zest and make even the rainiest of days bright. pastel colour palette

Pastels are dominant throughout the fashion and interior trend world this year, with Pantone announcing their top colours of 2016, Rose Quartz and Serenity Light blue.

Pink has regained its popularity after being seen with its new pairing partner, Grey! It gives a more sophisticated twist and less little girl/nursery-esque. Using pale grey with an addition of a pastel will create an interior focal point. Using a soft colour palette throughout your living space means that you can mix a medley of patterns/plains and textures without it feeling chaotic or distracting.

Our Sasha collection epitomises a sophisticated take on pink, with its grey leaves and geometric grey stripe on the duvet reverse, for a vibrant, contemporary take on a classic floral design.

Complement pastel shades with darker colours such as deep aubergine purples with violet lilacs. In order to stop the darker colours overpowering the pastels, keep them to a minimum and use the lighter shades throughout cushions and curtains with metallic fittings, light woods and a dark statement wall. Adding a contrasting black tone can stop the pastels from looking too feminine and balance your scheme perfectly.

Our Mollie collection is the perfect example of how to mix dark with light, with its deep blue butterfly silhouettes against a subtle shades of lilac and duck egg. Add textural scatter cushions or throws for a contrasting feature in deeper complimenting shades.

Continue the pastel theme through to your drapes and make your room look bigger, brighter and breezier. Adding pastel curtains to a minimalist space can bring with it a chic vintage feel and character. Our Elizabeth curtains feature a nature scene peacock pattern in tranquil duck egg blue, against a muted linen jacquard. These elegant colours will compliment all other room decors beautifully.
